On Friday, September 24th, Giammalva Racquet Club is holding a “Sock It To ‘Em” Mixer to support the Houston Marine Moms who gather, package and mail items that give our troops some comfort in the feeling that people back here really do care. Three hours of tennis fun and door prizes start at 7 p.m. Richard will have the restaurant and bar open, as well. Admission is a donation of socks or foot care products. You could also donate financially to help defray the costs of sending these items to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Checks may be made out to Pasadena Rotary/Houston Marine Moms. Most-needed items include: - White over-the-calf crew or tube socks
- Gold Bond foot powder
- Dr. Scholl’s boot inserts
- Foot lotion
- Foot file
- Toe nail clippers
- Foot antibacterial/antifungal cream
- Corn pads
- Moleskin
