Giammalva Junior Tennis:

Sammy Giammalva has coached and trained many world ranked players as well as state and nationally ranked juniors.

Our philosophy: Tennis can be enjoyed for a lifetime. Our first priority is to cultivate enthusiasm, joy and appreciation for tennis. We want to play a healthy, positive role in your child's life.

Tennis improves athletic skills that can be applied to all other sports, i.e. motor skills, eye-hand coordination, physical conditioning, and mental focus. We develop these skills in our program.

Tennis often offers an incredible opportunity to improve a child's quality of life through improved social skills, increased confidence, improved physical condition, and learned life-applying discipline from individual competition. We try to seize these opportunities.

Students will be grouped according to current ability level and/or age to enhance their enjoyment for the sport of tennis. Prices listed are per class and for 4-week sessions.

Futures

Age 6-14

We design this program for ages 6-13. We teach basic tennis skills while keeping it fun and exciting with games and challenges. Students advance through three different levels and challenges, and will be able to play sets and matches when they graduate. When students can rally 25 balls in a row, hit 7 out of 10 serves, know how to keep score, and can pass certain physical conditioning challenges, they progress to the ZAT program. Friday will be held for rain make ups. This camp begins June 5th, and will take off for the July 4th week.

Coach: Matt Snyder

Drills:
Monday - Thursday 5:30 - 6:30pm

High School

We design this program for the high school player who either play or aspire to play Varsity or Junior Varsity on their school team. In this program, David B. works on match strategy, conditioning, and repetition.

Coach: David Bvunzawabaya

ZAT

Age 10-18

We design this program to develop State ranked juniors. We continue to drive fundamental, but also work on more subtle techniques and match skills such as spin serves, the basics of match strategy, playing defense when out of position, patterns to move opponent and open court, transition and finishes with angles, and other skills. This program is for the more ambitious and requires tournament play and private lessons. We also attend all local ZAT tournaments to watch and coach our kids.
