Newsletters
Newsletters containing important information for the upcoming week will be distributed each Tuesday - one per family. Please make sure to get one and READ IT!
Check your newsletters for news about meet and practice schedules, Time Trial info, parties, swim meet themes, volunteer needs, phone numbers, and lots more.

Communication:
For safety reasons, practice sessions are not to be used for Coach/parent discussions. Any parent wishing to speak with the coach may do so by writing a note in the Coach's memo book or sending an email to SWS4fun@sbcglobal.net.

Weather: Practices and meets may have to be postponed or cancelled in the event of thunder or heavy rain.

Meets: Come to the meet unless you receive a phone call telling you it is cancelled.
Practices: Use your judgment. When in doubt, call Giammalva. Please be prepared to pick up swimmers early in the event of inclement weather.

Swim Meet Procedures:
Approximately 10 days prior to each meet, you will be asked whether you will be attending and what events you want to swim. Assistant Coaches will get your input. Please help us in being able to put together the meet entries in a timely and accurate way by making sure you give us the correct information.

Meets start promptly at 8:30am, and generally end by 12:30pm. However, warm-ups usually start at 7:00am or 7:30am depending on whether we're at home or at an away meet. It is important for swimmers to check in upon arrival with the Clerk of Course or one of the coaches. You will be notified of check in and warm up times for each meet in the Tuesday newsletter.

If a swimmer cannot be at a swim meet due to illness or unexpected schedule change, you must let the Clerk of Course, Duane Jerome know!

NEVER leave a meet before it has ended without notifying a Coach and the Clerk of Course.

If a parent or swimmer has a problem at a swim meet, they should report it directly to the NWAL Team Rep (Julie Baker). Please never approach an official, parent, swimmer, or coach on an opposing team with any kind of complaint.

To swim in the Divisional meet at the end of the season and to qualify for a participation award at the end of the season, a swimmer must have competed in at least 2 dual meets.

Email: We would like use email communication for nonessential communication during the season and between seasons. If you did not provide an email address on the registration form, please contact the club to add or change your email.
